Great place to visit, but let’s not forget that we’re talking about the 3rd world here. Resorts are bright spots and shady people abound. Prices are low to lure you, but extras cost buku dollars. I don’t regret my visit, but do your research!

Prince Rupert was great for whale watching, but don’t count on anything happening downtown. Zzzzz!

This is where I learned that Jeeps suck. By the way, I wouldn’t want to live there but it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve been.

My best friend is Dominican and his culture’s rubbed off on me just a bit! Good thing he’s having his wedding there next may!

On my way back from Alaska now, as my wife and I just spent our honeymoon there. We saw Juneau, Skagway, and the Tracy Arm fjord. Hell of a place to go, especially if you can get out of the cities (towns) and into the wilderness. If you think you’ve seen mountains because you’ve been to the Rockies, you’ve got another thing coming. The rainforest climate along the coast makes for a totally different setting with trees galore.

Too bad it’s for work (I am responsible for Bacardi’s global network and they are headquartered in Bermuda), and too bad my trips are absolutely fly-by-night. I’ll be arriving there next Wednesday afternoon, only to depart on Thursday afternoon. :(

Alaska’s at the top of my list of 11 remaining states to visit. I’ll be heading there on a cruise for my honeymoon next July. Oh how I can’t wait! I picture Alaska as an ever more glorious combination of Wyoming, Montana, and maybe a bit of colddd North Dakota.

My expectations were low, but it seems pleasant enough! I’m no country music fan, but I had lunch at ‘Toby Keith’s I <3 This Bar & Grill' in the Bricktown neighborhood of OK City. Good food, good time!

If you’re hankerin’ for some Mexican food in Albuquerque, DON’T even think about stopping at Sadie’s on 4th Street. What an overhyped dump!

Don’t miss the Grand Canyon, of course. Flagstaff seems like a pleasant town!
