Visited my sister in Wurzburg many years ago. In the US we can’t appreciate castles that are hundreds of years old. We tend to do urban renewal before they get that old.

The Germans I met, for the most part, laughed at my pitiful attempts to speak their language, then switched to perfect English and offered to buy me a beer.
