We went on a family vacation to visit cousins that were living just north of Seattle. The are they lived was near a forest and I remember picking berries that we later made ice cream with. The event that change my life also almost ended it too. It was when we went to the beach and my cousins horsing around almost drowned me. When we got back home to Calif. my parents put in swimming lessons and to this day I’m an excellent swimmer.

My folks and I moved there when I was in high school. We spent 3 years living in Fort Collins where I attended and graduated from Rocky Mtn. H.S. We visited relatives that lived throughout the state from Holly, Lamar, Denver, Golden, Aspen, Colo. Springs and just about everywhere nature was at its best. Given a choice I would like to someday go back there to live.

I was born at the Broadway Hospital in South Central Los Angeles back in the 60’s. I grew up in burbs, went my freshman year at Santa Fe High, lived mostly in Pico Rivera / Downey area most of my life. Moved from there in 2002 and have only been back once for Christmas. All my family except my kids, live there so I would like to go back to visit again soon. I dont wish to live there on a permanate basis, Florida is currently where I live, but my husband would like ot go back to his hometown of Albq. New Mexico in a few years.
