A week of swimming, food, movies, and relaxation with family. Kids loved it, and it was just great to get away. Wish I could have visited Kingston, where the great Marcus Garvey grew up.

Every since I heard Joe Sample’s jazz song about Carmel, I’ve always wanted to go. I read that the poet Langston Hughes spent time there. Just want to get the ocean more often.

Attend a four day conference there back in 2001. Didn’t get a chance to see much of it, but it was nice to the then president of Nigeria speaking in the same hotel where I stayed.

Wish I had moved to New York when I began college. Instead, I moved to Cali. Love big city, intellectual and cultural life.

Wife and I spent a month here back ‘94. Despite the levels of poverty, I felt very welcomed. Ghana, like the rest of Africa, has so much potential.

because looks me the family will be in a few months. Wife has been planning the trip.
