Seriously. It’s got all these quaint little bookstores, and used CD shops full of CDs I can never get in Singapore, or they sell for ridiculously high prices. __
i want to move to berkeley!! pity the shops all close so early.

i love this place. from the weather to the subway to the people. it’s just very expensive and foreigner-unfriendly, cuz hardly anyone speaks english.

Went to quite a few museums on my last trip to the USA, and I’ve got to say that Philadelphia Museum of Art is the best of the lot. It’s just so beautiful and some of the collections just took my breath away. I’m glad that we made a decision to visit this museum, because that was what started the museum-going trips after that, and none of them beat the first one.

That’s what the guy who brought me around said Vegas is, and it’s true! You go on the street, and there’re people handing out namecards of escorts, and these cards are all over the ground, too! Under-21s get to enter the casinos; in fact you’d have to pass through them to get out to the street from the parking lots. It’s all a scheme to get you to part with your money but hey, that’s probably what people go there for. It’s a beautiful place though, and the buildings all look very well-kept and extravagant. Every casino has a theme of its own, like Aladdin’s castle, Venice (with gondolas), New York New York (with a mini statue of liberty!) and even Paris (with its eiffel tower)! Some of the casinos even have rollercoasters located at the top floor, winding around the apex of the building. It’s cool. You gotta see it.

...is still a lot colder than expected. Good thing I had good advice from friends and brought 2 jumpers everywhere I went.
We got the 7-day citipass which really wasn’t as good value for money as it sounds. The museums in SF were pretty boring, and I fell asleep on the Bay Cruise cuz it was really much too foggy to see anything.
Clam chowder at Fisherman’s Wharf was fantastic, though I hate sourdough bread.

The food! From giant chicken cutlets to miraculously favoured milk teas. I got 2 pairs of Converse shoes from here too!!
