Vila Madalena, São Paulo

it’s worth visiting….. DURINGTHEDAY. They have some of the best graffitis in São Paulo, and in the whole world. It’s really something you should see, if you’re into arts, urban expression, etc…

but I HATE going out at Vila Madalena at night… expensive bars, usually crowded, lines to get in, lines to get out, poor service, heavy traffic to get there, expensive parking lots. I hate it.

Galeria Do Rock, São Paulo

Still worth visiting...

..as it is a place full of history. Many of the first brazilian Punk bands were formed in there, where they used to gather at a store named “Punk Rock” owned by Fábio, member of “Olho Seco”, one of the first punk bands of são paulo back in the early 80’s.

It has, indeed, some ‘posers’ and people that go there only to show off nowadays… but it is still a nice place to buy music-related items, and for me… a MUST GO if you are into rock.

It is the closest thing to the legendary CBGB we have. hahahahahaha
