I want to honeymoon here. I hope September is a good time to visit.

I’m going in late January, early February to visit one of my best friends and I’ve been told that Powell’s is a must. I expect to see many plays since my friend works at a theater. I’m just very excited to see her and to go to the one state on the West coast I haven’t been to.

True, I was only 7 when I was there, but all I remember is very gray, boxy and hot. Kyoto was much more fun.

But I got here listening to Nina Simone’s “Funkier Than A Mosquito’s Tweeter.” Find your own funky path.

Walking distance from my house, there used to be such cool unsafe structures here. There was a pirate ship and a space ship tower. It’s still pretty wonderful though. Take a walk down the coastal trail and you’ll find it.

And I always have to giggle because Alaska has glaciers bigger than Rhode Island.

Dublin seems different than the other European cities I’ve been to, I’m not sure why.
Also notable, the first time I had Chinese food was in Dublin in a restaurant playing ABBA.

Turnagain is a neighborhood in West Anchorage and is known for being built on Bootlegger’s Cove Clay. During the 1964 earthquake, the clay liquefied and the entire neighborhood slid into Cook Inlet.
Turnagain gets its name from the explorer Captain Cook. While exploring, he (or one of his crew members) realized there was no way to continue. Someone said, “We’ll have to turn again!”

I went to DC last summer to help out with exchange students arriving from Muslim countries. I was group leader for kids from India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia, and best of all I get to go back in a few weeks to see them off! I’ll be in DC the end of June and I’m sure I’ll broil.

It was a frightening unending virtual reality. More stores?! When does this game end! If you enjoy shopping for hours, go here. Otherwise, RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!
