Del Mar is gorgeous! I lived in San Diego for 5 years and spent much of that time hanging out on the coast between SD, LaJolla and Del Mar. Del Mar has an historic horse racing track that is so much fun to attend during racing season. The track has been referred to as “where the turf meets the surf”. back in the day exercise riders were able to walk the horses straight from the track onto the beach of the pacific ocean.

i am from Illinois and i have travelled the world, chicago is one of the most vibrant cities i have ever spent time. this city is in so many ways like new york without the garbage and the people are mid-western friendly. eat the food, it is amazing! see the small neighborhoods, wicker park, bucktown, andersonville, lincoln park. the art and music scene is incredible. i cant say enough about the place you have to go!
