I love it. Best thing to happen to Texas since the Battle of the Alamo.

I dunno. Amarillo is a town that is constantly having an identity crisis. A growing hippie crowd, revitalisation of downtown, and expanding art community can’t compete with the largely ignorant citizenry. Highest per capita crime rate in Texas and one of the dirtiest small cities I have ever seen. Overwhelmingly Republican redneck cowboy crap mentality. Personally, I can’t wait to leave. Amarillo is a huge embarrassment for the state of Texas.

I absolutely love this place. Forget about Roasters and Starbucks. The 806 has everything those guys don’t and plenty more. Free Wi-Fi, art from local artists, live music and special events, smoking area, lounges and the best coffee in Texas. Their tea comes from San Francisco and beats the ubiquitous Republic of Tea crap.

No complaints. Absolutely superb.

Tourists still flock to this place like it’s one of the Seven Wonders of the World but basically it’s nothing more than a pimped out steak house with a big fibreglass cow out front.

Only fans of angina and the American obesity epidemic would attempt the free 72 ounce steak scam.

Simple. Intriguing. Cadillac Ranch has spawned numerous dubious urban legends but the coolness comes from just seeing the place. Don’t plan your vacation around it but it’s just plain cool.
