Machu Picchu, Cusco Region

An amazing place

I was at Machupicchu on Feb 28th of this year and I was amazed and overwhelmed. The ruins themselves are unbelievable and the setting is out of this world.

We got there before sunrise and were able to see the sun coming up behind the clouds. It was clear enough then for the sun to shine on the snow capped mountains to the west and we could see them clearly at times when the clouds didn’t block the view. The view into the river valley was clear and beautiful.

We were also treated to some misty clouds that obscured the view of Wynapicchu and the city ruins at times.

The crowds were light enough that I was able to see the ruins without a lot of people running around them for the first part of the day. As the day progressed I was still able to take pictures that only had the ruins in them with no people in the pictures.

Machupicchu is a truely magical place and I recommend anyone who has any desire to visit do so. Peru is a gorgeous country as well and you can have a great time there before and/or after visiting Machupicchu.

Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park

Untitled

I’ve been to Yosemite many times and I look forward to going there this May. I got campground reservations and I’ll be climbing for two days and hiking and biking with my wife for two days.

I hope to do some climbs I’ve never done before this time.

New Jersey, United States

I've accidentally been to New Jersey

I was staying in Philadelphia and was taking a drive past some of the historical sites. I accidentally got onto the bridge that goes to Jersey and had to drive there and back because there was no place to turn around. I’m not sure I need to return, but I don’t have anything negative to say about the state.
