I visited on a band trip in high school, but I had the time of my life! We visited the Alamo, had an enchanted dinner on the riverwalk, and shopped way too much! I loved it!

over 5 years agoA little-known city in Kentucky, but a place I call home. I spent most of my younger years in Beattyville, and I will admit that I miss the southern, hillbilly way of life. Everything is so laid back, and though the town is tiny, it is cozy and secluded. Everyone knows everyone else, and if anyone wants to see some real hillbillies, go visit. After living in the city for several years, I went back for a visit, and found a new appreciation for the little bitty city. Oh, and if you can, schedule a trip there to see the Wooly Worm Festival. It’s small-town, country livin’ at its best!
over 5 years agoI grew up in Louisville, KY, and Thunder has alway been (and always will be) one of the biggest events in Kentucky. EVERYONE either goes to the riverfront to watch, or they watch it at home on TV. This year there was over 100,000 people just on the KY side of the river. People camp out on both the KY and Indiana sides just to get good seating. It is a huge deal there. If you go once, you’ll want to go again.
