Duluth

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

I go to UMD, so I’m up in Duluth for most of the year. It’s got beautiful scenery, but it’s freezing cold in the winter. There was a huge crocheting trend last year and no wonder. It’s COLD! Also, for the gays, Duluth has a great GLBT community – we’re not as big as the GLBT community in Minneapolis I’m sure, but we’re here. ;P Anyway, let’s see… stuff to do, I would recommend going to Canal Park if you’re a visitor. That’s what most people do I think. Go for a walk near the shore, for sure. We also have sports such as hockey and… hockey. Okay there’s other things too, but we really like our hockey.

Las Vegas

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place

My grandparents used to live in Las Vegas, so my mom and brother and I would visit them every couple of years. I liked it when I was younger, but the last time I went, it wasn’t very exciting. I will admit that the weather was a nice change – I liked how I could take a shower and then after getting dressed and walking outside, my hair would be dry in five minutes’ time, due to the dryness of the air. However, Las Vegas is sort of the same thing over and over. Gambling and gambling and strippers and gambling. And that’s great, if you’re into that. But I am not.

Delaware Park

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I went to a friend’s wedding at Delaware Park in October of 2005. It was the perfect venue. The atmosphere of the park made it incredibly romantic.

South Street

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

South Street is fantastic, even if it’s just to people-watch. Lots of bars (go to Downey’s!). I got a hat at Zipperhead which is now called Crash Bang Zoom. Haven’t really been there enough to know all there is to do there, but so far I’ve had a great time every time I’ve been down and will definitely go again.

Philadelphia

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

I am definitely a big city girl. I’ve had multiple opportunities to travel to Philly, and each time, I fall in love with the city all over again. The people are awesome, hardworking individuals who don’t put up with any crap. There’s plenty of things to do and see. Great food – I would definitely recommend trying a cheesesteak while you’re there. Sometimes the driving is a little crazy, because of so many people, but hey, that’s alright.
