Gorge Amphitheatre, George

Untitled

I have been to the Gorge about eight times (split between Phish and Dave Matthews) and it is definitely the coolest place I have ever seen a concert! The sun setting behind the stage while one of your favorite bands is down there playing on the stage, river in the background, beautiful scenery. What more do you really want? One tip for those of you going in the hotter summer months, sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen! And a water spray bottle comes in handly to cool down. It gets VERY hot down there! Have fun and enjoy!

Las Vegas, Nevada

Untitled

The only time I was in Vegas was for a conference, so didn’t have much time to look around and play much… but it is definitely a place I would love to go back to and check out and photograph…

Morocco, Africa

5 days in Morocco...

Morocco is AMAZING! A completely different culture from what westerners are used to. The people are VERY friendly and willing to help when needed. The architecture is beautiful! The food is yummy! Nothing but great things to say about Morocco.

Although, a word of warning to the ladies, make sure you are covered. No need for the full robes deal, but wear pants and long sleeves. I had some interesting comments thrown my way when walking arounf in shorts in a small town. Also, if you are blond (which I am) bring a bandana with you so you can cover your hair. Unless, of course, you don’t mind groups of complete strangers coming up to you to touch your hair…

It was all a wonderful experience… I had a family show me around their city (Meknes) and then had me over to their home for dinner. These people had 14 people living in 2 rooms in a tiny little shack and they shared their home and meal with me, a complete stranger to them. It was the most generous thing I have ever experienced. If you have the opportunity to befriend the locals, do so. They will have so many interesting things to show you and it will be an experience you will never forget.
