I recommend this place to people who like to visit a nice small town, explore its history, architecture and surroundings. I would not recommend it to people willing to see the sea and do sunbathing, because the “beaches” are actualy made of stone and the access to the water is difficult. (See the attached picture.) It can also get very crowded during summer.

Each time I went to Cortina for skiing it was heavy snowing and the fog prevented me from seeing the beautiful Cortina everyone is talking about. That’s why I can’t recommend it, yet. ;-)

Nauders is a great ski resort. The Bergkastel ski area is situated high enough (1440 m—2850 m) for plenty of snow when it opens in December. I recommend the ski openning weeks because the pistes are empty and accommodation is cheap. I stayed in Haus Barbara (Family Pischetsrieder), which has a ski bus stop just in front of it. The people in Nauders are very nice.

The view from the stairs of the Chateau to the garden is one of the best views I have ever seen.

One of the greatest European cities. Great architecture, a very special atmosphere and a lot of places to sit and just enjoy the spirit of France.

I lived in Moscow for 5 years when I was a small child. All I remember is the big ice cream and the smell from the bakery. I know I must visit this city again.

Nice beach with see-through water, great for diving!

I visited Monte Carlo just to visit the Casino and I was absolutely amazed by this luxurious city. And I eventually won in the Casino, which made my memory everlasting. A must see!

You need to go here to see the Gandarmerie. But that’s probably all you want to see. Other nearby cities such as St. Raphael are nearly the same with see-through water and sand beaches.

Go to Harri’s in the old town for the best pancake or waffle in the world.
