I recommend this place to people who like to visit a nice small town, explore its history, architecture and surroundings. I would not recommend it to people willing to see the sea and do sunbathing, because the “beaches” are actualy made of stone and the access to the water is difficult. (See the attached picture.) It can also get very crowded during summer.
over 4 years agoEach time I went to Cortina for skiing it was heavy snowing and the fog prevented me from seeing the beautiful Cortina everyone is talking about. That’s why I can’t recommend it, yet. ;-)
over 4 years agoNauders is a great ski resort. The Bergkastel ski area is situated high enough (1440 m — 2850 m) for plenty of snow when it opens in December. I recommend the ski openning weeks because the pistes are empty and accommodation is cheap. I stayed in Haus Barbara (Family Pischetsrieder), which has a ski bus stop just in front of it. The people in Nauders are very nice.
