I grew up here! It really is a wonderful place. Of course I grew up outside of town so it was extra special. If you come here make sure to travel down the Ingraham Trail, and if you are up to it, you should definitely go canoeing, there are lots of great canoe trips to be made.

I am doing field work for my Master’s project in the Delta. It is beautiful Unfortunately it is the future site of oil and gas development. In fact, my field site in particular is a proposed site for a gas processing facility. Very unfortunate. Even more unfortunate, one of the species I am studying, the Hudsonian Godwit has only been observed at this site and one other. Hopefully they will fair the bad weather. All in all, if you want to see this place before development begins, now’s the time. They are having community meetings this year and next year they may start developing. Ho hum.
