Beyond Shangri la & Brigadoon

Nothing compares.Raw rare beauty.Otherworldly & Othertime.I hesitate to reccommend my favorite places & this is at the top.But Big Sur can never be overcrowded or overrun.This is special.Not for "tourists"or"hot"time seekers.But for those who choose to savor.Even if you just drive down from the Bay Area or up from the City of Angels,for lunch,it will stay with you forever.Truly beautiful coastal scenery.The narrow,winding,straight cliff down drive along coastal Hwy.1 is one of my favorite drives.It is an adventure.Not for the weak,i.e. better than any roller coaster,to me.Thrilling as a space mission.Beyond love. tbc…

A Perfect Summer,Wished Would Never End

I was 19.I attended Banff School for the Performing Arts.It was close to Heaven.Exquisite Canadian Rockies.Wonderful air.Clean.Crisp.Healthy,electric energy.The diverse,strong,creative environment.At the time,Shakespeare was my life.acted,directed,designed,studied.An enormous privilege to study Shakespeare theatre with B.Iden Payne.Incredible! tbc…

The Happiest Time of my Childhood

My father,mother,older sister(16),myfavorite Great Aunt Mayme,&I,age 10,lived inVaradero

Beach.It met my models of a perfect childhood.The ocean within blocks.The fresh pineapple blender drinks,the meat & also sweet jam Empanadas,the goat cart rides,the sunsets.The black beans,rum,Cuban coffee,delicious everything!Wonderful diverse,accepting,imaginative,fun friends.And a huge clean abandoned “haunted” house.Perfect weather!Clear blue Caribe,down to my toes.Perfect!
