And it looks wild and exciting and passionate. Can’t wait to go!

...... but it is a great place, I can recommend it now they have abolished the toll for the bridge. Be aware that the hillwalking / hiking is very demanding for much of the island and the weather can change very, very quickly. Take local advice and appropriate clothing / food. Forget the Bonny Prince Charlie stuff and just go to enjoy the nature and tranquility, it’s great to climb with the sea in every direction!

It’s just a beautiful, relaxing place. Angels Landing is a highlight and worth the steep (though short) hike, even the last exposed bit where you cling on to a wire bolted in to the rock. Go there now!

The trails really get you in to the valley and amongst the amazing rock formations!

lay 5000metre passes, wonderful locals and stunning scenery. Kathmandu is fun but you really need to head to the hills folks. Just take care out there, Maoist rebels etc!

trouble is that if everyone goes it will be spoilt so maybe check out pictures on the web instead!
