but only if you know what you are doing. This is a tough hill, even in summer. I went up it in July and there was a foot of snow on the top and 20 yards visibility. Navigation is very and I mean seriously difficult on the summit plateau in poor weather. Turn back if in any doubt.

you want my tip? Buy your ticket before you go, there are several places you can (tourist information and the like) you walk right past the queue (line for my American friends) and see it all.
