Impressive dome, fancy shops, and wow, what a nightlife! Over night is like over day, and a 50 person line to get a taxi from the central station at 1 a.m.

Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Istakal, Taksim, Bosphorus. Nations and cultures arriving, competing, mixing and stepping aside. Always on the move. I was there in Feb. 05 just for a few days – sunny, warm, people selling flowers on the streets and fishing from the bridges. And few days are just too few to feel compeltely a city like this. So I want to come once again there.

And Baikal is the largest lake on the Earth. You can drink unprepared water from the lake, eat omul and stay healthy. There are also plenty of myths end legends among the extraordinary things about Baikal and this area: shamans, sacred places of the gone nations, amulets. Now the area actively turns in a spot of international tourism. I’ve been at Baikal and in Irkutsk for my vacations in 2005.
