I made the mistake of driving down here on a late, rainy afternoon— it was very eerie being there while it rained and there was almost no one on the boardwalk except for gangsas and bums and stupid chicas like me.
But if you’re willing to endure constant comments by the locals (I’ve been hassled for just about everything I can think of), it’s a really fun place to go. Especially if you like to people watch.
Can’t really recommend swimming in the water, though. There are so many junkies around this area, that I’d be surprised if you didn’t step on syringes.
