The gardens are absolutely beautiful, but the tickets are a bit pricy ($50 for the both of us). The day we went was way too hot and we kind of rushed through it. It is good to see though, especially since it is so famous and everyone assumes you’ll be seeing it if you are in the area. :)

My husband and I just went to Seattle last week. We had no rain, which was awesome. Pike Place Market was lots of fun (my hubby got picked to catch a fish and he didn’t drop it!) and make sure to walk around down below, by the water. Seattle has a lot to offer and is in a beautiful location.

Glacier Natl. Park is so beautiful! I was just there for a day and there were waterfalls everywhere! We drove the Going-to- the-sun road and it was amazing. We saw mountain goats (and baby mountain goats!) and bighorn sheep. I think it was a perfect time of year to go.

I went here as a kid several times and absolutely loved it. It is a great place to take kids. Noah’s Ark was awesome!

If you are in the area, you have to visit the southernmost point, even just to say you’ve been there. It’s totally cheezy and touristy but fun so why not. Also, if you watch the sunset here, everyone claps when the sun goes down.

This site is definitely worth seeing- even in the rain, as I did. I guess it’s kind of appropriate, in a way… :)

I went to Kaua’i for my honeymoon and it was amazing. Great snorkeling and hiking. Kipu Falls is a must-see. It was so fun to explore this not-overly-touristy island. The na pali coast and waimea canyon are unreal. Definitely don’t miss this island. And rent a vehicle that you can take off-road (aka down many of the out-of-the-way bumpy dirt roads that lead to beaches or sites) so you can explore as many places as possible.

Guatemala is amazing- and culture shock. I want to go back. The markets in Chichicastenango were great and so was Panajachel. The Mayan ruins were really interesting as well. Being there and seeing the poverty made me appreciate living in the United States (and feel a little ashamed as well that we take things for granted). We saw people in Guatemala City living off the city dump for food, which was heart-wrenching. And others, that were so poor, but so hospitable and giving. I would recommend for anyone to have this eye-opening experience.
