I’m still a bit bitter that they changed the name. At least the big “Marshall Fields” plaques on the walls outside are still there.

Regardless, a tip: When you have a moment, take the time to look up. The ornate ceiling is beautiful.

Nighthawks is currently on loan to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts for an Edward Hopper exhibition.

My husband and I met his parents at Phoenix for a Mother’s Day dim sum brunch. The food was pretty good—though maybe not worth the hour-long wait.

I’ve only beeen to British Columbia so far (I’ve made two trips to Vancouver and the surrounding area), but what I’ve seen of Canada I’ve loved.

I used to go here all the time for music when I was in college.

Great museum. And the interior is so wonderful, architecturally.

I just went back when I was in town for my honeymoon earlier this month. Oh, how I love this place… :)

Definitely worth visiting—and if you can, check out the (free) tour.

We passed through the Redwoods as part of our road trip from Seattle to San Francisco. Highway 101 through the Redwoods is a beautiful drive—definitely something worth seeing!
