I was a bit obsessed with the Mariners all through high school, so in the summer of 2001, just after I graduated, my family took a trip to Seattle for a week. It was perfect, everything about it. I loved the people, the general topography, the rain, the sun, the Sound (oh, the Sound), and the general easy-going nature of the city. I’d move there in a heartbeat if it weren’t so far from home.
