Happy Phantom

It was cliff diving at the 7 sacred pools that changed me. This was after a grueling 2.5 hour drive on the Road to Hana and beyond. I survived 600 hair pin turns in 60 miles. Yikes! I love dramamine. Seriously, next was an all day hike through the rain forest to the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. The ending dive into one of the 7 sacred pools was just icing. But perfect.

Landed in Reno. Drove through Carson City to Lake Tahoe. Awesome. One week of pure heaven.

It has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Even during the winter. The lake is just plain stunning. The people are wonderful and the skiing…fabulous!

Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain. Okalhoma where the waving wheat can sure smell sweet…

Okay, it’s a LONG way away. But I have just booked a week in Lake Tahoe for next December for a ski vacation. I did this through our time share company. So excited. But so far away!

I put in a request with RCI for 2007. I know that seems a long way off, but I’ll get there.

I went to this Museum when we had that big heat wave. It was like 100 F outside and it must have been 65 F inside the museum. Ahhhh. I would highly recommend this place. They were doing the whole “Loose lips sink ships” exhibit and a whole thing on female spies. Very cool. I brought back a really cool all-in-one gadget for $5 that has 11 tools on a piece of metal the size of a credit card. And guess what? I had to check my bag at the airport! LOL.

I got this idea from catsRchildren2 (thanks). I didn’t even know there was a place. But why not? I have been to the US Holocaust Museum (bawled my eyes out), but this would be a very good place to pay hommage to so many lost individuals.
