I went to Boy Scout Camp at Cache Lake. The most memorable thing was nearly cutting off the end of my finger.
My pocket knife snapped closed on the end of my right middle finger because I wasn’t using it safely. I then, intelligently, flailed my hand around to “shake it off” I guess. Then we sat around for 20 minutes trying to raise the mainland on the CB. Took the one hour boat ride back to shore, then the 1 hour car ride to the nearest hospital. Boy, what an experience.

I don’t know that Frankfurt necessarily changed my life, but it was very interesting to visit a city that my family is from.

While it was not terrible, the Solymar resort was approximately a Motel 6 by US standards.

Lunkers is a bar nestled in downtown Normal. They feature a great menu, as well as my favorite, Woodchuck Cider, on tap, among other great beers.
