I used to be crazy about the TV show ‘Providence’ which was being shot in the city of Providence, RI itself. Watching the show everyday and the beautiful scenic views of Providence totally captivated my soul and I knew I had to go there someday. Last summer, before I joined university in Canada, me and my family were visiting some relatives in NJ and since we didn’t have much to do there, I asked if we could visit Providence, my uncle agreed to drive us there from Oldbridge, NJ. It was around 6 hours by road. When we got to Providence, I was beyond 7th heaven. I was finally visiting the place I had always dreamed I would visit. It was one of the best days of my life, truly, there can be nothing bigger in one’s life than seeing one’s dream come true. I always used to read about such things, but it has actually happened to me! Providence is a lovely city, but unfortunately, we reached there a little before sunset so I couldn’t spend too much time there. I just went around the Brown Uni campus which was quite neat. When we went to the waterfront for the Gondola ride, we were told that we had to make reservations for it!! Damn!! I was so disappointed! I took quite a few pictures though.

I really want to go back there again someday, preferably spend a few days there so I can experience the first city of my dreams to its fullest. :))))

The amount of stores and malls they have are, wow!! Not even funny! :) Definitely worth a visit for hadrcore shopaholics!

I visited Bahrain when I was around 12 years old. It’s a small country but quite pretty, a lot like Qatar where I live. Qatar and Bahrain are just 30 minutes away from each other by air, after all.

This is an amazing place. When we visited this place, my grandad was with us and he met this lady there who used to work in JFK’s office at the time he was assassinated.

A beautiful hotel

visited Philadelphia, PA in August 2005. Me and my family travelled from Old Bridge, NJ to Philly by road, we were going there because my sister and my cousin wanted to visit the zoo there. I’m not really into zoos and animals, but I really appreciated the experience of visiting a new city. Philly’s a beautiful city; it has a colonial feel to it with all those pretty little houses on the streets. We just drove around the city, I didn’t get to go around the place, but we drove by UPenn and some streets there. I definitely want to go back there someday again so I can be there for a while and experience Philly, the city and everything it has to offer.

In December 2005, I visited Pittsburgh, PA on New Year’s eve with my extended family. It’s a nice place, very hilly though and not exactly a ‘city’ in the true sense of the word. Although it’s not exactly the sort of place I would want to live in, I think it’s a different city and one worth a visit for sure!!
