We went for a day trip from Sydney and there was a crazy thunderstorm with torrential rain and hail that caused the roof in the National Museum of Australia to cave in … while we were there!

Needless to say I will ALWAYS remember this trip to Canberra! :)

So my fiance and I will be arriving in Auckland this SATURDAY! I’m so excited!

‘Nuff said.

By far my favourite place in all of Scotland. It has a real presence to it that you can only truly appreciate once you’ve been there.

Auckland looks absolutely beautiful. My fiance and I will be arriving on January 5th and we’ll be spending a week there just touring around. Can’t wait!

I’m in Australia right now on a WHV and on my way home, I have a free stop-over in Thailand. I can stay for up to a month and in that time I plan to see Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam … but truth be told, I am most excited about Vietnam. There’s something that just sets Vietnam apart from the rest of the SE Asian countries. Maybe it’s the people, or my love of their cuisine … I don’t know :) I’m looking forward to going, though!

I love Bondi Junction, because it has Bamboodle … only the best Thai restaurant EVER. Visit Bamboodle if you go there. It’s a must-do.

Visit the Tim Hortons. It’s a good one.

When I was younger my dad loved to take my brother and I camping out at Cold Lake. In the summertime, the place is gorgeous—the town itself is right next to the lake, complete with a genuine marina and lots of quaint little shore-front shops. The water is freakin’ freezing though, even on a gorgeous 30 degree Celcius day. Fishing is good and the Air Show is something worth seeing in itself. Check it out if you get the chance!

Sadly, there isn’t much to do in Lloyminster … but if you’re feeling kinda Homer Simpson-ish that day, feel free to go to the border crossing and yell ‘Alberta!’ before jumping over the border and yelling ‘Saskatchewan!’ as soon as you land. Some people can be amused by that for HOURS.

But seriously, if you’re shopping in Lloyd and heading to Saskatchewan stock up on everything as you don’t have to pay PST there. And the drinking age is 18, not 19, so buy your booze there as well!
