My family vacationed in Branson every year for eight years. They still do, in fact, but I don’t go with them because I’m married now…but anyway, Branson holds a special place in my heart because I have so many good memories there. It’s where I met my husband in person for the first time (we met online), not to mention all the great times I had with my parents and sisters. I think it’s a good place for a family vacation.

Otherwise, it’s true that most of the shows and shopping seem to be attractive to seniors, not so much the younger crowd. Silver Dollar City is fun, however, and the scenery and lakes are lovely.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon in June 2003. We stayed at a little bed and breakfast (http://www.2weecottages.com/), which was actually just a little house, and it was perfect! I think that’s why I have such an attachment to it-sentimental value, you know-but it has a lot going for it in its own right. It’s a cute, quiet little town in a beautiful area of Texas, not too far from larger cities like San Antonio and Austin. I can’t wait to go back someday.
