I’ve been to DC multiple times but this is still one of my favorite memorials. I attended the groundbreaking ceremony when I was in middle school and saw it a week before the dedication. The architects did a good job in not really disturbing the mall.

Sacre-Coeur is a beautiful church. Me and my friends actually watched the Bastille Day fireworks from the steps in front of the church it was amazing. The crypt is probably one of the coolest I’ve seen. The winding stairs to to the lookout are very narrow and the ceiling is really low but the view from the top is amazing.
over 5 years agoNotre Dame is definately worth seeing however, it is flooded with tourists. The cathedral is pretty dark and not one of my favorites. However, the history surrounding the church is enough to make your trip there worth while.
