The menagerie is quite extensive and includes a big cat area, primate house, vivarium and separate reptile house, a bird enclosure and more.

He’s buried with Simone de Beauvoir, and it’s customary to offer the two of them your metro ticket.

This garden is on the roof of Gare Montparnasse (metro and RER station). While it is a nice escape from its urban surroundings, it does not offer the great view that you might assume a rooftop garden would. It’s closed in on most sides by other buildings and other parts of the station. A nice place to picnic, nonetheless!

The Obelisk stands where the guillotine used to be on Place de la Concorde.

The food vendors here are awesome! If you walk the rightmost perimeter of the place (assuming that you’re walking from Jiantian Station), head down the street until you find the Hot Star booth on the left… there’s a bright yellow booth selling Indian wraps that are amazing!! Also, one block up and left from here you’ll find the best steamed pork dumplings in Taiwan!
