Ruby Falls

Worth visiting!

ruby falls, middle of nowhere tennessee

i swear this place was in the middle of nowhere tennessee but it was really cool. i went here with my class on our class trip to atlanta and tennessee and it was amazing. first we went down on an elevator, something like 360 feet below the surface, and walked through interesting formations and came upon this huge chamber with high ceilings. we couldnt see where we were going and then these dark purple lights shone in front of us. and there was the most beautiful waterfall i had ever seen! i felt like some parts of the cave were too, i dont know, touristy. there were tvs and signs and voice recordings it interrupted the natural beauty.

harry potter 7

we stopped here for a night on our way back to the airport from yellowstone. but it was a really cool city. the one night we stopped for happened to be the night the harry potter book was coming out. as soon as we got to our hotel we turned on the tv and this book store was on the news because it was having a harry potter party. so we went out to get dinner but couldn’t find any places that werent bars. so we walked in to whole foods and ran into a guy who recommended this middle eastern place. their food was delicious. after our meal we found out that the place next door was the bookstore on the news. there were all these people in costume. and we all got on the news!

Carlsbad Caverns

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

i remember the first (and only) time i had ever been here was when i was about 6. i was way too young to do most of the caves but there was one my family could do all together. it was called something like slot cave. i just remember it started with an s. but it was the hardest hike i had ever done at that age. the temperature was 111 degrees! and we were spiralling up this big mountain. it was the worst one and a half mile hike i had ever been on. but the cave was very cool inside and there was so many formations it was amazing.

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

the albuquerque balloon fiesta is one of the most amazing things i have ever seen. the entire sky was completely littered with balloons. i remember there was one balloon of a cow from ben and jerry’s. a lot of businesses advertised this way but there were also a lot of cool balloons to look at.

Santa Fe

Worth visiting!

cool

santa fe was pretty cool. the first time i ever visited there was when i was about 6 years old and i just remember being stopped in traffic because there was a spanish procession heading in to the church. everyone was in authentic costumes. also there are plenty of interesting shops and the artisans sitting outside of the governors plaza have the most unique jewelry to sell! santa fe is very interesting and i think everyone should have the chance to experience it the way i did.
