This is Minneapolis’s legendary music joint. It’s where much of “Purple Rain” was filmed, and it’s where many huge bands have gotten their start. It’s also home to a smaller venue, 7th Street Entry.
over 6 years agoI spent the night here while attending a trivia tournament in Ann Arbor, MI. The trip was a lot of fun, and I didn’t mind staying in Sylvania, but I would have no reason to ever return to the town.
over 6 years agoI had the pleasure of exploring the Museum today. There is a seemingly endless collection of artifacts relating to Minnesota, midwestern, and U.S. railroad history. The museum itself is, literally, an old two-story depot, relocated from its original location in Cokato. Attached to the depot is a classic boxcar filled with even more artifacts. I’m not particularly interested in railroads or trains, but this museum kept me immensely engaged. I think it’s a Minnesota treasure. I strongly recommend visiting it if you’re in the area.
