After having spent almost five full days in Ottawa, I can definitely recommend visiting. It’s really a different type of city. Not quite as fast/crazy as Toronto and Montreal, but not quite as traditional as Quebec City.

The culture and history in Ottawa is incredible. You’ll never feel more Canadian while skating on the Rideau with Parliament in view.

Just about everything is within walking distance if you stay downtown, but it can get cold in the winter, like VERY cold. So unless you’re planning on visiting during Winterlude, I’d recommend this as a summer trip.

I’ll be visiting in the New Year, staying at the Rose Hill Country Club. Hope it’ll be a good time!

Such a great city, would love to live there one day. Old Port area is fantastic, you’ll always find something interesting. Everything is within walking distance – great for a vacation.

Mostly just a pass-through for skiing, very cool airport!

Great beaches, snorkeling. Definitely a tourist location though.

You’ll never want to ski anywhere else again. The best runs and views I’ve ever had skiing.
