Taste Of Life Restaurant

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I found Taste of Life my last day in Israel. Most of our meals were planned since I was with a group, so there was little opportunity to venture out on my own for food. While I never got tired of the huge variety of salads served with just about every meal, falafels were starting to get a little bit old.

When I walked in to Taste of Life, it took me a while to decide what to get because I had, well, everything as an option. I finally settled on the shwarma. The “meat” was moist with a bit of tang to it. So tasty! And there were a ton of fixings so you could have it made exactly to your liking. As an extra special treat, I got a little bucket of ice cream for dessert. To get that creamy feeling, they use coconut milk. After watching others eat ice cream for 10 days, it was lovely.

Worth visiting!

We enjoyed about a 1/4 mile camel ride and a Bedouin feast in the tent. Groups can also overnight here.

Hezekiah's Tunnel

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Definitely go all the way through the tunnel. Unless of course you are claustrophobic. It’s hard to imagine the feat that was accomplished here without walking it yourself. Keep in mind if you do you will get wet up to just above your knees. And the water is quite cool. Very welcome in the warmer months.

Atlantic Station

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

i don’t care about the shopping here. there’s nothing interesting about the shops…it’s all the standard mall crap, except you’ll get wet walking from store to store. but, the movie theater is worth coming here for. first, you get to park underground, in the shade. very importing in georgia in the summertime. the theater validates parking. if you just come for a movie you shouldn’t have to pay anything. if you shop or eat too you might have to pay $1. the theaters themselves are nice with stadium seating and tall comfy chairs.

Sublime Vegetarian Restaurant

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: sublime indeed

Sublime. Apparently they now have a happy hour that starts a 4pm weeknights. Too bad I was staying an hour away. I’m enjoying a pomtini, at Dino’s suggestion, and a Thai strip salad at the waiter’s, although it was the thing that caught my eye. Unfortunately I came without the appetite I wanted so I decided to go with a salad so I could squeeze in a dessert. I’m going to have the Key Lime Cheesecake. Oh yeah, everything is vegan of course. Everything so far is delightful. There are a few people at the bar. I’m the only loser sitting alone at a table. Oh, but at least I have the internets. The waiter brought out a couple of nummy little savory muffins with my drink. I only ate one to save room. I’m taking pictures. I’ll add later. There is live music that is…well…light covers. It’s okay, they are easy to ignore. “Thank you for being a friend…” Mmmm…I want another pomtini, but I’d better not. Gotta get my mom’s rental back to the Hertz place in one piece. Okay, I think I’ve picked all the chickeny bits out of my salad. Shit, I’ve basically finished the salad. “Here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson…” Okay, let me get this salad out of my reach or I’ll never get the cheesecake in. OMG, no he didn’t! The “entertainment” just did the Fat Albert “hey hey hey” during Mrs. Robinson. I shit you not. Oh. My. God. This. Cheesecake. Is. Fucking. Fabulous!!! How is it possible that it tastes JUST LIKE CHEESECAKE??? Well, like I’d know. But still! I so made the right choice going with a salad so I could fit in dessert. So creamy. Okay, this is just fucking mean, if you can’t be having this yourself. Maybe it’s better I don’t live near here. I’d weigh about 500 pounds. I’m beginning to understand how that woman became fused to a couch. If I had unlimited access to this cheesecake it might happen to me.
