It’s worth a visit, but don’t plan to stay long unless you’re really prepared for the sense of being cut off from all of society as a whole. It’s really pretty there, but in a very cold, wet sense. The people are very friendly and open, and very welcoming.
over 6 years agoMy first time there I intended to stay. However, because I wasn’t aware of how “hard” LA can be (mostly cost of living, etc.), I had to move back home (Bozeman, MT). But, I’m moving back in seven months for good. I loved the people there, the culture, the diversity. It’s great to go to the store and hear a multitude of languages being spoken around you. Plus, you can’t beat the weather there! Ok, so the power issues might be annoying, but I didn’t have any problems with them earlier this year.
over 6 years agoWe spent two weeks there on our honeymoon. The marriage didn’t work out, but it was worth it for the great honeymoon. We went to Negril. Amazing water, beach, etc… even during the off-season.
