    Warszawa

    Worth visiting!

    Memories  — 2 years ago

Walking through old Warsaw in the cold, windy rain. Clubbing at Underground and drinking Polish beer. Shopping and feeling at home at the Wedel chocolate shop. Being locked into the hotel bathroom for 15 minutes. This is a changing and growing city.

    Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 2 years ago

Poland is full of history and definitely booming in economy and culture. Some of the people were very rude, some very sweet and polite. The food was very good. The beer was nice, and I don’t even like beer. Driving on two lane country roads was crazy. Cows, deers, and trees all in the rural scenery. Weather was wet and tempermental in spring. Beautiful country.

    Treblinka

    Worth visiting!

    Untitled  — 2 years ago

Treblinka is a death camp second only to Auschwitz in number of victims during WWII. There is nothing left of the camp itself and the site mainly contains monuments. It’s difficult to get to as it is existentially in a clearing in the forest/country about 1-2 hours outside of Warsaw. I found it peaceful, calming, and reflective.
