Eh. Other than the cool government buildings and parks, there’s not much else to stay for. Good for a day trip, I guess.

I live here.
Decent place, nothing real special. There’s a nice piece of history and a good selection of restaraunts downtown. The city is small, so things are low-priced, but it’s not exactly a hick town.
And if you get bored, Portland’s a short drive away.

It’s like Chiang Mai, except smaller, the stuff is cheaper, they don’t prey on tourists, and there are a lot more Burmese people.

If you can ignore the desperate old Brits and the pedophilic Germans walking around while holding the hand of a little Thai girl, this place is really fun. Nice food, decent beach, lots of entertainment, and a decent nightlife. The pubs are good. It’s like a European city made babies with a Thai city, and this is the offspring.

I visited here for two weeks BEFORE the tsunami happened. I have no idea what the conditions are now, but it was absolutely beautiful when I visited.

I work here every Friday night, and this place is very great. They have live shows every Friday, and open mic once a month. The coffee is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the people are very interesting.

Seattle is, by far, my favorite city in this entire country. Its amazing cultural environment draws people from near and far. The streets are lined with striving musicians, artists, and wonderful European markets. Despite the fact the city is so big, it still gives off that wonderful, small-town feel. There are countless museums for music, the fine arts, theatre and anything else cultural you’d want to see.
