I live here. Yeah there are alot of poor areas and rundown buildings. Yeah watching old people pump their life-savings and pensions into slot machines is depressing. So What? There is 24hr clubs, bars, food. Casino action, Boardwalk, a beach (not the greastest but so what!), great resteraunts, concerts, shows, great shopping, strip clubs and hookers, pimps, players

Is it as good as Vegas? Hell no. But why compare? Just cause they both have Casinos? no.

Heres the list:
MUST DO’S:

The Pier on the Boardwalk @ Ceasars. Great design, upscale shops, great resteraunts on the 3rd floor(Phillips, The Continential, Buddakahn) and night spots (Rum Jungle, Game-On)

The Quarter @ Tropicana. Great Shopping and Food. P.F. Changs, The Palms, Carmines, Cuba Libre. Great night Spots (Cuba Libre, 32 Degrees, Red Square, Ri Ra, Comedy Stop, Imax Theater)

The Borgata. Shopping is ok, great places to eat. (Old Homestead, Bobby Flays, Wolfgang Puck, Sea Blue, Tony Luke’s philly cheesesteaks, Fat Burger (best burger hands down) Nightlife there: The Mixx, murmur (mondays), Gypsy Bar

Showboat. House of Blues(great concerts and food) Club Worship

Taj Mahal. Casbah is a great club for out of towners.

Club Tru on MLK and Atlantic is a weird, wild club for true club heads.

AC Outlets: Polo, Coach, Reebok, Tommy Hill, Nautica, Banana Republic, ect. Also the best breakfast at AC Diner there. Ruth Chris there makes a good steak too.

Locals Hangout: The Irish Pub. 164 St. James Place & Boardwalk,

Strip Clubs: Bare Exposure, Babes, Coconuts

Best Steak: Morton’s in Ceasars.

Best Pizza: Jonuzi’s Pizza. 2309 Atlantic Avenue

Best CheeseSteak: White House Subs. 2301 Artic Avenue

Beaches: I wouldn’t go to the beach in AC but if I had to, I’d go at Tropicana. You can get chairs, towels, kayaks, ect. I’d take a Jitney and go to the beach in Ventnor or Longport. Or a cab and go to Brigantine. If you have a car, I’d go to Ocean City (20-30min.) Boardwalk, Rides, Best Beaches, Best Pizza (Mack and Mango’s)
