ahhh, from all the korean dramas i’ve watched lately, this is by far prob the most mentioned island other than Seoul. so, i really whould like to see if it is as picturesque and serene as discribed.
hopfully this summer when i go to China, i’ll have a chance to hope across the border and visit Korea.

I love this place. i think it is possibly by far my favorite place to visit whenever i’m in Beijing. the weather always seems nicer in the palace (or is it just my imagination?... hahaha)
but needless to say, it is one of the most picturesque. serene “garden” in the vastly busy and congested city.

i have signed up for the volunteer committee with the chinese olympics association so in the summer of 2008, i’ll be working alongside of thousands of other volunteers, athletes. i am quite excited to begin this, and from the pictures i have seen from the official websites, it will be ridicuously extravegant and upscale. so if you have the chance to visit, DO!
even better, try to become part of the volunteer team and help out in the olympic spirit.

hope to see you there.

i was born in a small city on the northeastern outskirt of China; right across from North Korea.
although the places i have traveled in China are limited, i absolutely adore this place.
first of all- the food ROCKS. every time i go back there to visit, i am always so in awe with the quality and quantity of the food.
second of all- it is sooooooooo cheap to live in China. you can bargain prices in shops and local places (obviously not in malls and such)... and the price for food, for lodging, and transportation is incomparable.
third of all- the people are extremely friendly. since chinese are so western oriented, many holds tourists in great regards and will help you in anyways to make ur stay more plesant. and since the Olympics hosted by BEijing is coming up… many people have found reasons to speak english (even the elderly) so you wouldnt find yourself completely estranged in a totally foreign country without any clues.
there’s sooo many wonderful qualities of China that i can go on and on listing, but for the times sake, i’ll end here.
