Semester at Sea, Destination #6

This is a beautiful country. Bangkok is so fun! The shopping is amazing. The people of this country are so beautiful and tropical. I also vistied Phuket right before the tsunami. I cant imagine the devistation the island has suffered. Our hotel was directly on the beach! The most awesome snorkeling and scuba diving is there. The water is so clear you might think its okay to drink. I love it! I cant wait to revisit!

Semester at Sea, Destination 4

It was kinda chaotic in Ho Chi Minh City cuz of the traffic. You are better off closing your eyes and feeling your way to cross a street rather than looking cuz you will swear someone on a motor bike or an out of control car is going to take your life. It doesnt seem like there are any traffic laws what so ever. Scary! The food is great. The kids are funny. Alot of them speak english. It amazing how thier country was severely devastated by one of the worst wars in history yet are so loving and kind toward Americans. I ask myself, would we be the same toward them if that war would have been on american soil.

Hometown

There is alot to say about home. For one, its where the heart is. Probably the most beautiful state in the union. Some may disagree but I think it paradise when you can get from the beach to the mountains in an hour.
