Even if you aren’t into country music there are lots of things to see and do in and around Nashville. If you’re taking along the kids check out the zoo and the Cumberland Science Museum or in the summer…Nashville Shores. There are lots of sports to enjoy there…the Titans, the Preditors, and a minor league baseball team I can’t quite recall the name to for sure (The Sound???) come to mind right off hand. The downtown area close to the river is full of pretty neat after dark sights. Plenty to keep you busy for a few days. The Loews Vanderbuilt Plaza hotel is close to Vanderbuilt University and is a great place to stay…they even cater to your pets if you want to bring them along.

Ok, so maybe I’m a little partial to it because I’m such a huge Wildcat Fan…but I love going there. Keeneland is beautiful…especially if you go during their fall meet in October and see some of the live horse races. The countryside there is very picturesque and serene. The Kentucky Horse park is a pretty neat stop too. Lots to see and do there.
