Worth visiting!
The first, and last unfortunately, time I went to this place, I must have been six or thereabouts. My father was at the teacher training college and we went to stay with him the day after Christmas. We stayed a week, my Mum, five sisters, brother and me. The college was empty but for Dad (And a scary guy) and we had an adventure of staying in the dormitories. My brother and I played with our new toys on the stairwell. I remember him making me run down all the stairs to catch his Action Man parachuter!
I remember Ashness Bridge (Not sure if it’s in Ambleside or not) and the house over a river.. I remember seeing stars and snow and mountains for the first time in my life.. There was a crooked cramped bookshop, a Beatrix Potter shop and a place selling the most amazingly yummy apple pies created!
This was at least fourteen years ago now, but it was one of the happiest times of my life, and one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. I still keep the dream of having my honeymoon there. So beautiful..

One of the most beautiful cities ever. I was born here and always enjoy returning :)

Unfortunately I grew up here, so the grey misery of the town will forever be my home!
