Love it

To me, the sculpture garden is perfect in the winter, when it is entirely quiet and cold and white. It reminds me of the White Witch’s castle in the first Narnia book, with all her enemies turned to stone. And then you walk into the greenhouse and it’s suddenly summer and fragrant and green. It’s a great juxtaposition.

Poor Aquarium of the Americas

Of all the truly horrible things that happened because of the mismanagement of Hurricane Katrina, this hit me probably the hardest. I remember those lost animals every day.
