For 40 years, the world’s longest single-span suspension bridge. Every Labor day, you can walk the 5 mile length over an unknown depth of fast-mnoving water in one of the most treacherous passages in fresh water. A magnificent view!

on a mountain road on a dark night. The road ended in a 600 meter drop at the top of a ridge on the Georgia border. I couldn’t see any road so I stopped. YAY me! :)
