France, Europe

Paris

It was amazing. I rented an apartment on the far east side of the city. Had to walk like half a mile to get to the nearest Metro station, then ride that for 15 minutes of so to get to the happening part of the city. BUT it was within walking distance of the Pere Lachaise.

I loved it, I saw as much as I could in the week and a half I was there. Like most old European cities, it’s just romantic is countless ways.

Seattle, King County

I’ve been twice. The first time we just kinda blew through on the way to B.C. The second time I flew in with my mom to check out Evergreen State College, a school near there I was interested in for a long time. We were able to check out the Saturday market, and a modern art museum. It’s a very unique city, so dark and dismal yet everyone moves around like the sun is shining. In Florida is it’s overcast or cloudy most people stay in, and those who venture out are grumpy.

Costa Rica, Central America And The Caribbean

I went the Summer of ‘06 with my family. We flew into San Jose, rented a car and wandered north, then around to the Pacific coast, south down the coast, then back across to San Jose. The roads are terrible and we had to crawl along the smashed boulders of highway , dodging the tourist buses wheeling around hairpin turns up and down mountains. I loved every minute of it, and can’t wait to go back!
