The Moxie, Springfield

Was there for open house, took photos.

For all of you wondering about The Moxie, it is Springfield Missouri’s only independent movie theater. Dan and Nicole are the owners, and are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and they have a genuine love of movies. It is a small establishment with a great environment, and the entire setup has quite a bit of history to it. The Moxie just opened in September of last year and has been going strong since then. If you want to go out for a movie with a date, or just catch a flick after work, The Moxie is where to go.

I’ve got photos from the Open House night on my album site at http://trixxpix.org/thumbnails.php?album=21 which were featured on the The Moxie Weblog at http://blog.moxiecinema.com/

I am going to give attaching a photo a shot so you can see the awesome seating. The seats came out of a playhouse in Wisconsin and have been fully restored. They are over 50 years old. The theater seats 75 people and has both a 35mm and a digital projector system for either reel movies or digital video.

Chicago, Cook County

Been before for a short time, going back for a conference

I’m going to Chicago this summer to participate in GoonCon 2006. Yeah, that’s pretty much it.
