I live here...

I live near Lake Merritt (have also lived downtown) and love Oakland. I love the diversity of the people, the variety of all the neighborhoods, lots of stuff to do and beautiful weather.

Everyone should check out the Parkway theater on Park Blvd/E. 18th St. You can sit on couches and watch a movie, order food off a great menu (pizza is highly recommended) and even order a beer or wine.
