Tung Lung Chau, Hong Kong

Tung Lung Chau

A busy little recreational island. It can be reached by ferry from Sai Wan Ho ferry pier on Hong Kong island in 20minutes. There are other ferries available from other locations.

The island is popular with campers, hikers, fisherman, diners and picnickers.

It has a few interesting sites such as a cave, a blowhole and an old fort. Of course, there is the obligatory rock formations that have the shape of animals.

Sadly like most places in Hong Kong the ‘natural environment’ is littered with loads and loads of rubbish. It’s particularly bad on the beaches.

Still worth visiting if you like islands in Hong Kong.

HKFYG Organic Farm

They have a small cafe out the front and are a nice place to stop after a hike.

They sell cactus juice, herbal tea and soya milk.

You can also take a tour for $20HK.
