I was born at Shelby County Memorial Hospital 43 years ago. We moved to Windsor when I was 4. I have many relatives who still live in Shelbyville, though I now live in Missouri. Shelbyville is a beautiful place in the fall….lots of large colorful trees overhanging the streets. There are also many nice campgrounds in the area and around the lake. My favorite memories are of sitting around the dam on the 4th of July with my cousins and watching the fireworks over the lake.

I grew up in Windsor which had NOTHING to do, so we either went to Sullivan or Mattoon. I used to cruise Sullivan in my red 1970 Opal GT while jamming to the Eagles. My first date was to the drive in there. I know I know….showing my age. There was also this old barn out in the country…..

Windsor is a small town in central Illinois. When I grew up there it had a population of about 1000 people. I haven’t been back in over 20 years. I thought it would be cool to add it to the list of places here and to see if anyone in Windsor has a computer yet! LOL…..just kidding.

Its a nice city. Lots of attractions, nice people, good places to eat. Very nice job rejuvenating the downtown area.

I hate football in general, but started going when my daughter reached high school and found that its a great way to spend a Friday night with your family.
